RSS feeds from Wandsworth Council
We use RSS feeds to publish our latest news headlines and events in one convenient place.
What is an RSS feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is effectively a special kind of web page designed to be read by computers rather than humans.
It provides a summary of the contents of that page that the computer can translate into something easy for us to read: For example its title, a brief description, date of publication and its author.
It allows your computer to automatically read the content and deliver it to you rather than you having to visit the site.
How do I start using RSS?
1. Install a news reader
In general, you will need to have a news reader installed on your computer to read RSS feeds.
Most modern browsers allow you to read RSS feeds but you can also install a separate news reader program. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work on yours.
2. Look for the RSS icon on our site?
RSS feeds are available on our site wherever you see the RSS icon:
