Green Champions competition
Last year's inspiration
Green Champion 2008, Vicki Carrol, was chosen due to her tireless efforts in establishing the Wandsworth Environmental Forum (WEF) as the main local forum for environmentally-minded residents to get involved in local environmental decision-making. Vicki was Chair of WEF for many years, and diligently inspired other, organised public meetings and worked closely with other environmental bodies. Her outstanding dedication and enthusiasm ensured that the forum maintains a high level of active membership. She went on to be "highly commended" at the 2008 regional Green Guardian Awards.
