Green Champions Awards
Everything you do makes a difference
What is it?
The Green Champions Awards is our way of recognising those who are doing what they can to make our borough a better place to live.
- Do you recycle as much as you can or have you started composting in the garden?
- Perhaps you always take a cloth bag to the local food market or cycle to work or to school?
- Maybe you've started a green project in your neighbourhood or you have a work colleague who encourages everyone to be greener?
The competition categories include Green School, Green Project or Group and Green Champion, so whether you are an individual, a local group or an eco-friendly family you can enter youself, or nominate someone you think deserves recognition.
This year the competition was sponsored by Thames Water, who provided £750 in prizes; £500 cash prize for the green champion category winner and prize-money split between the remaining categories.
