Wandsworth Town

Business Plan 2011-14

Introduction

Wandsworth Town Centre is one of the oldest settlements in the Borough and has qualities that set it apart from other town centres in South London.

The area is benefiting from than a £1billion of new investment - the vast majority from the private sector.

The regeneration process has already seen the transformation of the shopping centre into the thriving Southside complex, a new town centre library plus extensive redevelopments in Hardwick's Way, Smuggler's Way, Buckhold Road, South Thames College and overlooking King George's Park.

Work is currently underway on many major schemes and planning approval has been granted for several more, with further developments in the pipeline.

The Wandsworth Town Centre Partnership is a private-sector led partnership made up of key stakeholders in the community.

The Partnership has a business plan which clearly sets out the objectives for the next three years and plays a crucial role in improving the vitality of the town centre.
