Older People's Strategy

In partnership with Wandsworth Teaching Primary Care Trust and stakeholders, we have developed a new five year Wandsworth strategy for older people (2008 - 2013): Independence and Well-being in Later Life. It describes a new multi-agency preventative approach to maintaining health and well-being and, when needed, provision of care and support with dignity into older age.

Consultation on the approach took place from December 2007 to February 2008. Responses from the consultation have informed the strategy. The response from the Wandsworth Older People's Forum is a helpful overview of the issues which concern older people in the borough.
