Admissions appeals

If your child has been refused a place at a Wandsworth maintained school, you have a legal right to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeal Panel.  

The Wandsworth Appeals Service is responsible for arranging appeal panels for all of the Borough's community primary and secondary schools.  

We also manage appeals for some of the Borough's voluntary-aided and foundation schools.

Appeals

Where we are responsible for the appeals arrangements for a school, you can download the form, alternatively, you can contact the Appeals Service and we will post or email a form to you. When you have completed the form you should return it to us. Arrangements will then be made for your appeal to be heard by an appeal panel that is independent of the Council and the school involved.

Appeal forms

• Appeal form for 'infant class size' appeal (Most appeals for Reception, Years 1 and 2)
• Appeal form for 'two-stage' appeal (The form should be used for all secondary school appeals and all primary appeals for year 4 and above.  It also includes almost all appeals for Year 3 and some appeals for Reception, Years 1 and 2)
