Primary school admissions
Applying for a place in a Reception Class in September 2012
Starting primary school is a big event in your child's life. The months leading up to this are an important time for you to find out about the schools in your area and apply for places. Parents and carers of children born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 must apply for a primary school place by 15 January 2012.
Choose a Wandsworth primary school
We have produced the Choose a Wandsworth primary school brochure to help you. It has full details of primary education services in the borough's schools. It also provides a step by step guide to the process of applying for a place and the priority applied when allocating them. Please read the booklet before applying for a place.
Download the brochure for the 2012 intake.
Printed copies of the booklet will be available from Wandsworth nursery and primary schools from mid September 2011. The booklet will contain the Wandsworth application form. Alternatively you can request a copy by contacting Pupil Services (details below).
In the case of Special Schools, admissions are dealt with by the Special Needs Assessment section. All enquiries should be made to them in the first place on 020 8871 8061 or at edsnas@wandsworth.gov.uk.
Parents and carers of children living in Wandsworth can apply for a place in up to 6 state schools (in Wandsworth or elsewhere) by using the form in the back of the booklet. Applications must be received by 15 January 2012.
Parents living elsewhere must contact their home borough to apply for a place in a Wandsworth school.
