Primary schools

There are three different types of state funded primary schools in Wandsworth

• Community School - Schools or colleges where the Local Education Authority (LEA) is responsible for the admissions policy.
• Foundation School - Schools or colleges where the governors are responsible for the admissions policy.
• Voluntary aided (Faith Schools) - Schools for which responsibillity is split between the Council and the Church Authorities. The voluntary aided primary schools in the borough are either Church of England,  Roman Catholic or Muslim. The governors of a voluntary aided school are responsible for admissions to the school.
