Recycling facilities

 

The sites offer a wide range of facilities for recycling. Please try and recycle as much of your rubbish as possible - it will help to sort out recyclable items before you go to the tip.

Along with the paper, glass, cans and textiles that can also be recycled at our recycling sites across the borough, recycling facilities at the Smugglers Way site include provision for: 

  • car and household batteries*
  • bicycles
  • furniture (re-useable and unbroken)
  • engine oil*
  • books, cassette tapes, discs 
  • gas bottles
  • inkjet cartridges
  • rubble,  sand, soil, wood
  • TV's and computers
  • tyres
  • electrical appliances
  • scrap metal*
  • eco bulbs*, fluorescent tubes
  • garden waste*
  • fridges and freezers*
  • garden tools

*Provision for the marked items is made at the Cringle Dock site.
