Cycle training courses
Adult Cycle Training Sessions
- Training is free
- This is a course for those who have not cycled recently or who are nervous about cycling
- Complete beginners can be catered for if enough instructors are available
- Pupils should be 16 years old or over
- For people who live, work or study in the Borough of Wandsworth
- Small groups or one to one training (depending on experience of those on the course)
- All cycling instructors are National Standards approved and trained by Wandsworth Council
- The courses cover cycle safety, handling, road procedure, helmets/clothing
- Training usually consists of at least two sessions (more if appropriate)
- Pupils not in possession of a suitable bike for traning must make their own arrangements to hire one
- Your own bike must be the right size for you and in road worthy condition
- The council has a public liability insurance that covers training courses
- All simple health and safety rules must be met by course participants
