Young Person's Advanced Cycle Courses (Level 3)
Level 3 Courses
To be arranged subject to demand and availability
- Free
- For a course to go ahead, there must be a minimum of 4 pupils for that session.
- For young people who live or go to school or college in Wandsworth
- Pupils must have completed the basic cycle course - level 2
- Courses are aimed at pupils who can ride their bikes with confidence and to level 2 standard
- Pupils must bring their bikes with them to the sessions
- Bikes must be roadworthy
- The course lasts 2 hours or longer if appropriate (the whole course must be completed)
- The course is mainly on local roads
- Training is carried out by National Standards instructors, trained and approved by Wandsworth Council.
- The council has a public liability insurance that covers training courses
- All simple health and safety rules must be met by course students (and parents/guardians)
Before booking a course
- Has your child completed the basic cycle training course (level 2)?
- Is your child's bike the right size and roadworthy?
- Is your child available to attend the whole course?
- Cycle helmets are recommended
