When the Mayor takes over an application for his own determination, he must hold a public hearing before deciding whether or not to grant planning permission.
  • Local Planning Authority Ref. 2014/7344
  • GLA Ref No. D&P/3512

On 14 July 2015, Wandsworth Council resolved to refuse planning permission, against the officers recommendation to approve the application, and on 21 July 2015 advised the Mayor of this decision.

The Mayor notified Wandsworth Council that he would act as the local planning authority for the purposes of determining the above-mentioned planning application (under article 7 of the Mayor of London Order and the powers conferred by Section 2A of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act).
