Service user and carer involvement

Service users and carers are the driving force of social care transformation.  The following service user and carer engagement principles are intended to guide a spectrum of engagement activities that are essential in order to help design and influence; new services, changes to services and the way in which social care works with people.

The principles have been developed in discussion with Wandsworth LINk and draw directly upon the Department of Adult Social Services Service User and Carer Engagement Strategy 2009-2012 and the Council's Corporate Participation Strategy; Consultation and Participation Principles 2007.
