Paying your council tax
By telephone, post or at a Post Office or PayPoint location

When you call, please ensure that you have your debit/credit details and council tax account reference to hand. If you are paying by credit card please note there is a service charge of 1.4%. There will be no charge for debit cards.
Your telephone call should last approximately two minutes. You will need to have a touch tone telephone to use this service.

Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to 'Wandsworth Council'.
Please also write your name, address and Council Tax account reference on the reverse of your cheque or postal order. If required, ask for a receipt when paying by cheque.
At a Post Office or PayPoint location
You can pay your Council Tax at a Post Office or at a Paypoint facility.
Payment can be made by cash at any PayPoint outlet in the country. You can pay by debit card, cash or cheque at any Post Office.
Please note that the maximum amount the Post Office will accept for any single cheque is £1000. If he amount you wish to pay towards your Council Tax is greater than £1000 in one transaction, you will need to use more than one cheque.
