The council is changing its bank account
With effect from 1 April, the council is changing its bank account. See information below relating to different payment methods and whether this will affect you.
Bank Standing Order
You should ensure that any new standing orders submitted to your bank contain the new Nat West bank details as follows:
- Wandsworth Council
- Sort Code 60-22-28
- Bank Account Number 69612544
The reference number to use is shown on the invoice or bill.
If you have any existing standing orders in favour of Wandsworth Council, payments should be automatically transferred to the new bank account by the banks themselves. However, if you are concerned about them please talk to your own bank regarding the change.
Direct Debit
All direct debits will be paid automatically to the correct bank account. You do not have to take any action at all regarding the changes.
Paypoint outlet or at the Post Office
All these payments will be paid automatically to the correct bank account. You do not have to take any action at all regarding the changes.
Using a pmt slip at the bank/bank transfer slip
You must state that the payment is in favour of Wandsworth Council:
- Sort Code 60-22-28
- Account number 69612544
The reference number to use is shown on the invoice or bill.
Using internet banking at home using your internet banking facility
After 1 April you must change the payment details you have set up on your online internet banking. This may mean you will have to delete the existing details and input new details on your online bank account in favour of Wandsworth Council.

Using our automated telephone systems
All telephone payments made using our automated payment telephone line will be paid automatically to the correct bank account. You do not have to take any action at all regarding the changes.
Wandsworth Council online (website) payments
All payments made using the Councils website payment facility will be paid automatically to the correct bank account. You do not have to take any action at all regarding the changes.
