Carrying out home improvements
This section contains information on decorating and improving your home and garden. We understand that everyone wants to make their house their own but before you make any changes to your property, please read the following guidelines and your tenancy conditions or contact your managing agent.
You have the right to carry out improvements to your property, such as fitting a new bathroom suite or replacing kitchen units but you must first seek permission/approval from us to carry out any improvement works. Permission will not be unreasonably refused but may be given subject to certain conditions/guidelines being met.
Permission will be refused if the work would cause us expense, be difficult to maintain, make it difficult to let the property in the future or give rise to complaints from other residents.
You may be entitled to compensation for carrying out home improvements. For more information, please contact your managing agent.
