Go Green PLUS Service

The Go Green Plus is a free service (funded from the European Regional Development Fund) that offers companies an intense support, mentoring and advice service focused on the six essentials to "Go Green":

• Energy
• Waste
• Recycling 
• Transport
• Water
• Purchasing. 
  

Go Green Plus advisers are happy to visit businesses to do an environmental audit and return with an action plan which should enhance a business' profile whilst reducing energy costs. They can assist businesses in writing an environmental policy with a focus on energy and waste management and where appropriate to help obtain a "green accreditation", for example: ISO 14001 Carbon Trust and the new energy efficiency standard (BS EN 16001)

They use the most up to date information to develop a plan to:

• Reduce a business' environmental impact
• Meet legislation
• Enhance a business' profile whilst reducing energy costs
• Provide advice on local suppliers and recycling resources.

Action plans should help businesses save money on water, transport, utilities and some consumables.

Green Cluster Service

The Go Green Plus service also encourages SMEs (particularly in small business parks and industrial estates in target areas) to get together to identify common needs and to develop, with local authority or other partner support as necessary, their own solutions, encouraging them to form into sustainable networks and even to form their own companies to take action forward beyond the lifetime of Go Green Plus.

The project is led by Wandsworth Council on behalf of six south London boroughs and is delivered by southlondon.biz; who have an experienced team of Greening Business Advisers.
