Wandsworth Business Support Network (WBSN)

Introduction

Strategies for succeeding in the current economic conditions

Given the current uncertainties about the economy we want to make sure you know where to go to get help and advice about managing the particular challenges that you may face at this time.

We organised two events in January 2009, at which ways to beat the credit crunch and tips for business survival in hard times were key themes.  While we eagerly await more news from central government about funds to support local businesses through the economic downturn, we prepared a handout to provide local businesses with contact details and information about initiatives which might be of assistance.  The handout was presented to attendees at the Wandsworth Business Forum held in Putney on 27th January and a copy is available in the related downloads area.

The London Development Agency (LDA) has released their latest information in a series of guides that are a part of the Mayor of London's Economic Recovery Action Plan.  This guide gives detailed up to the minute information for all Londoners - from business owners looking for advice and assistance to help their company survive the current economic climate, through to individuals, whose jobs may be at risk or who are looking for a new career.

The LDA in partnership with KPMG and Deloitte also hosted a selection of business seminars designed to provide the latest strategies for succeeding in the current economic conditions.  Visit the events section of the LDA website.
