Paying your bill
You will receive your Business Rates bill towards the end of March each year, or, if you are a new ratepayer, as soon as we are made aware that you are liable for Business Rates.
The Business Rates year runs from 1 April to 31 March and allows for payment by 10 monthly installments from April to January, or if you receive your bill during the year, as many months as are still available.
The dates and amounts of the instalment payments due are shown on the bill and the payment counterfoils enclosed. You can, if you wish, pay the bill in full at the beginning of the year or half-yearly.
To assist businesses who will struggle to pay the increase in business rates following the 2010 revaluation, Wandsworth Council has agreed to extend the option of 10 instalments to 12, providing they are collected via direct debit.
