2011 Census

Plans for the 2011 Census are well underway and the Council is working to assist the Office for National Statistics in its preparations.  A Census is undertaken every ten years, when each household in England and Wales is asked to complete a questionnaire. 

Accurate information on the local population is essential for funding, planning and delivering public services such as healthcare, education, social services, housing and transport.
