Mid-Year Population Estimates

Annual mid-year estimates of the population of the borough by age and gender are published by the Office for National Statistics.  Wandsworth's usual resident population is currently 289,600 people.

GLA Demographic Projections

 Using detailed information from the Census, together with updated information on births, deaths, migration and fertility, the Greater London Authority (GLA) produce projections of population at borough and ward level.  These projections can be used as indicators of underlying changes in the population, rather than forecasts of exact counts.
