Changes to planning application services
Pre-application advice
From 1 March 2012, most types of pre-application advice relating to planning applications attract a charge. For more information please refer to the charging schedule and enquiry form
Viewing hard copy planning applications
As relatively few people now request to view paper copies of planning applications, the Planning Service no longer makes up a counter file for this purpose. This also saves the Council printing off an additional copy of applications received electronically.
In future you will only be able to view a paper copy if you make a request giving 48 hours notice of your intention to visit the Town Hall by emailing planningapplications@wandsworth.gov.uk or by telephoning 020 8871 6637 stating the application files you wish to view.
Visitors to the Technical Services reception will still be able to view files electronically. You can also view application files online via the Planning Explorer.
Planning application decision letters
The Planning Service will continue to inform people who commented on planning applications of the Council's decision, however in future the letters will not contain a copy of the decision notice.
Copies of the decision notices will be available online within 3 working days of the decision notice being issued on the View Related Documents page.
If you would like a hard copy of a decision notice then there is an administration charge of £10.00.
Weekly lists of planning applications received and decided
The Planning Service will no longer be making paper copies of the Weekly List available. You can either download the Weekly List or receive it by email.
To be emailed a copy of the Weekly List, please send your details to planningapplications@wandsworth.gov.uk.
Comments on planning applications
Letters commenting on planning applications will no longer be acknowledged.
The Planning Service will make a commitment to making comments received in paper copy available online using the Planning Explorer (via Related Documents)within 3 working days of receipt. This commitment will also apply to comments received via email to planningapplications@wandsworth.gov.uk; in future emails will receive an automatic acknowledgement.
The Council encourages users to make their comments online, against the relevant application using the Planning Explorer pages. To comment on applications, follow the link on the 'View Related Documents' page.
