Council tenants - buying your home or another property

If you are a secure tenant, you may have the right to buy your property. Please contact the Home Ownership Team for further information and advice.

While you are a tenant, you must not purchase another property, either on your own or jointly with another person and sub-let it without first obtaining our written permission.

However, if you would like to give up your tenancy and buy another property to live in, the Home Ownership Team may be able to help.
