If you would like to move, you may want to consider the following options:

- Housing for older people aged 55 or over including sheltered housing and extra care housing and the Seaside and Country Homes scheme
- Room to Move scheme - financial and other reasons to move to a smaller property

There are a range of housing choices for older and disabled people in the borough and we are committed to meeting their needs.
In this section you can find out about applying for housing, sheltered and extra care housing for people aged 55 years or over. Transferring/downsizing or relocating through one of our mobility schmes, such as Room to Move or Seaside and Country Homes.
Other housing choices include private renting, buying a home or making changes to your home. The council offers a range of advice and services to help you stay independent in your own home. Like adapting or installing home alarms in case there is an emergency.

If you are an adult experiencing abuse or worried about an adult suffering from abuse you can get help from social services.
