How decisions are made
Executive
A body called the Executive is then
responsible for implementing these policies, taking decisions about them and
spending the budget, with some scope to approve variations laid down by the
Council.
The Executive consists of the Leader (elected by the council)
and eight other Executive or 'Cabinet Members' appointed by the leader. Each of
the Cabinet Members is responsible for a 'remit' consisting of a group of
Council services.
