Planning policy consultations

The Planning service undertakes regular consultation on the development of its Local Plan and related policy documents.

Supplementary Planning Documents consultation

Between 2 and 30 September 2025, we consulted on a series of new Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) to support the Local Plan. These were the Biodiversity SPD, the Trees and Development SPD and Planning Obligations SPD.

We are now considering all responses received and whether further changes should be made to the SPDs prior to their adoption.

Once adopted, the new SPDs will be used to guide decisions on planning applications and will be published on our Supplementary Planning Documents webpage, alongside a report setting out how we have responded to consultation feedback.

Future consultations

To be included in future consultations on planning policy, email your details to planningpolicy@wandsworth.gov.uk. 

Anyone who has previously commented on policy documents will automatically be included in future policy consultations.
