About the playground

York Gardens Adventure Playground is situated on the edge of the Winstanley Estate offering a place where the local community and visiting young people can play in safe and fun environment. The playground offers a place where children and young people can try out a range of adventurous play opportunities from easy to challenging under the experienced supervision of playground staff.

The Adventure Playground is a FREE, OPEN ACCESS play setting for children and young people aged 5 to 16 years. (children aged 5 must be in year 1 at school). Once registered children can come and go as they please. To register please complete a registration form at the Adventure Playground on your first visit or download the registration form and privacy notice from the Adventure Playground Introduction page and take it along with you.

What will i find there?

At York Gardens Adventure Playground you will find a range of exciting indoor and outdoor play structures. Inside we have a pool table, table tennis table and art room . Outside you will find a big double platform rope swing, climbing wall, small rope swing, zip wire, tree house, slide, 5 aside mugga football/ basketball pitch and plenty of platforms to climb up, over, under, through and along. We also have a small allotment area complete with it's very own wooden green house which helps to keep the vegetables coming in for the cooking activities run on site.

Group bookings

Groups visiting with children are welcome but to avoid disappointment please ensure you ring the playground before you go to discuss your needs with the centre manager.
