Potholes
What causes potholes?
A pothole is where the surface of the road has been eroded and a hollow has formed.
Cold weather in winter can damage Wandsworth's roads. Water freezes within cracks in the road - expanding and forcing the tarmac to break apart.
The council has pledged £2m to repair the resulting potholes as part of a two-year programme of works to roads and pavements costing in excess of £10m.
How to report a pothole
To report a pothole to the council please include the nearest house number or business premises to help identify the exact location.
