Induction
Wandsworth offers an excellent induction programme for newly qualified teachers, including the allocation of a personal mentor, reduced timetable and a 7 day programme of talks, seminars and workshops, planned to help you meet the inductions standards. Secondary schools each have their own school based induction programmes. You will also be entitled to 10 per cent Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time, in addition to a 90 per cent timetable in your first year.
The Professional Centre
The Wandsworth Professional Development Centre houses the most extensive and award winning curriculum support and professional development libraries in the country, as well as a media resources unit and computer suite. The centre is also the site for the comprehensive Continuing Professional Development programme offered by Wandsworth to all serving teachers within the borough.
