Roehampton Future

What would you like to see change in Roehampton?

Wandsworth Council wants to see if Roehampton town centre and the Danebury Avenue area can be improved.

We have been looking at ways to improve the area for years and are now making the regeneration of Roehampton a reality.

A process is underway to appoint an established firm to develop a masterplan for the future of the physical environment in the area.

This will set out a detailed, long-term vision for the Alton West area - and the views and thoughts of local residents and other local stakeholders will support the plan's development.

Work on creating the masterplan is expected to start in late spring/early summer, 2013.

In the meantime you can continue sharing your improvement ideas with us by taking a virtual tour of Roehampton using StickyWorld.

StickyWorld lets you explore the area and post sticky notes as 'comments or questions', about specific places and things you like, dislike and want to see improved. To begin click on 'Enter the room'.

This project is part of the council's multi-million pound plan to improve the Alton West area, which is bounded by Clarence Lane, Roehampton Lane, Holybourne Avenue and the Richmond Park Golf Course.

Back in 2009 there were proposals to refurbish and rebuild the area around Allbrook House and Danebury Avenue, but these had to be shelved due to the onset of the recession.

Now, we're starting again.
