Planning and building control in the borough

Wandsworth's planning policy covers both spatial development and transportion.

Planning permission is in general needed before the construction of new buildings or developments. Building Regulations approval (building consent) is in general required for new buildings and may well be needed for changes to an existing building.

See Planning Service for more information on planning permission and planning policy in the borough. See the Building control pages for more on the control through the Building Regulations.
