Pledge to recycle your old clothes

This week is European Week for Waste Reduction. To mark it, we're asking people in Wandsworth to think about what do to with their old clothes.

You can't put textiles in your normal recycling sacks or banks. The sorting system those materials go through is not designed to handle textiles, which can snag on the machinery and cause problems at the recycling centre.

You can recycle not only clothes, but old towels, sheets and blankets too. Everything can be recycled in one way or other, as long as it's not dirty. Check out the How Do I Recycle? page to find out more.

If you're near Balham library on Friday morning (26 November) why not  pick up some information about your recycling services - and a free cloth bag while you're at it.

If you have registered with our web site and are signed in you can leave a form at any time to complete later or check all your saved and completed forms from Your Account page.
