Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What policies do planners use to assess applications?
The Local Development Framework (LDF) together with the London Plan constitutes the statutory development plan for the borough. The LDF consists of a series of documents. The most important of these documents is the Core Strategy, which was adopted in October 2010 and sets out our spatial vision for Wandsworth and a strategy for how this vision will be achieved.
The Site Specific Allocations Document and Development Management Policies Document support the Core Strategy with detailed and site-specific policies. These documents were adopted in February 2012. See the timetable for LDF documents
