Answer:

We have consulted with the nine registered waste carriers that we know operate in the borough. It was made clear that they must label their bags and not use black bags for street collections from 1 April 2009. However, you remain legally responsible for ensuring that your chosen waste carrier does follow the rules. You must therefore ensure that your waste is never put out for collection in black bags.

Q: My shop is on the red route. How can my waste collections take place during the allocated time bands?

Q: The 9am to 11am trade waste time band means the pavements will be restricted at a busy time with rubbish from dozens of shops. Why is this?
