If the joint tenants are all single without children, each claimant will qualify for the shared LHA rate.
Separate benefit applications will be required from each tenant. The amount of Housing Benefit you will receive will then depend on your individual circumstances. If a joint tenant has children then they will qualify for the LHA rate which applies to them given their household circumstances.
