- Any 2 children (under 16) of the same sex
- Any 2 children of the opposite sex under 10
- Any other child (under 16)
- A non resident carer who provides overnight care (if you think this may apply to you please contact us for further information)
The maximum LHA rate is 4 rooms (since April 2011) .
If you occupy one room with shared facilities such as living room and kitchen, you will receive a shared room rate.
If you are single with no dependants and under 35 (subject to certain exemptions), you will receive a shared room rate even if you do not have shared facilities.
For help to work out the room rate that applies to you, use the LHA Room Calculator. Select the circumstances which apply to you (and your family, if any).
