The exhibition is to celebrate LGBT History Month and share the experiences of ethnic minorities coming out.

Multi-Sports Activity Day

Date: 15th Feb 10 - 19th Feb 10

Location: 337 Merton Road

Cost: £22 per day

A day of various sports, including basketball, cricket, mini tennis and rounders, as well as team building activities.

The sessions are aimed at children aged 5-10 years.

Taking part in the activity day can help children:

  • Make new friends
  • Keep fit and healthy
  • Learn various sports and improve motor skills
  • Build teamwork

Phone, email or visit the Aspire Centre to book a place. Please arrive at the centre on the day to fill out paperwork and make payment.

Children attending the activity day will need to bring:

  • Comfortable clothing and footwear for exercise
  • A packed lunch

Teenage fitness

Cost: £2 per session

A session in the fitness suite that will be supervised.

This session is aimed at 13-16 year olds of all abilities.

Young people will have the chance to:

  • improve their fitness levels
  • learn new fitness techniques
  • seek advice from a qualified fitness instructor

Simply drop in and pay at the desk.

Young people attending will need:

  • Appropriate sports and footwear for exercise

Indoor Football

Supervised football in the sports hall with small-sided games.

Aimed at children and young people aged 12-14 years.

Theatre - Othello

Date: 17th Feb 10 - 19th Feb 10

Location: TARA Studio, 356 Garatt Lane, SW18 4ES

Cost: £3

Enjoy a theatre experience with a Shakespeare tale. This event is part of the Shakespeare re-mixed festival.

Defying society, Desdemona marries Othello, a Moorish General, and follows him to Cyprus where he must help to fend off a Turkish invasion. Iago, a junior officer tormented by his lack of promotion, sets out to destroy their love.
 
This is for parents/carers and young people aged 11+
 
Children can:

  • Enjoy the theatre experience
  • Visualise the play that they may be reading in school
  • Enjoy one of the oldest forms of performing arts
