James Capper: Walking Ship at StudioRCA
See drawings and sculpures of the walking Thames boat developed by artist James Capper.
In this new exhibition at StudioRCA, Walking Ship brings together drawings, maquettes and sculpture to show the evolution of Mudskipper - a 12-ton, hydraulic amphibian sculpture by British artist James Capper.
Capper has transformed a former 1980s commercial fishing boat into a mobile structure that can move across water and land onshore using two legs.
After being researched, drawn and developed over the course of a decade, Mudskipper will be launched on the River Thames at Nine Elms this spring.
The exhibition will be open every Saturday and Sunday until 21 April 2019, plus Easter Monday (22 April).1 Riverlight Quay
