Wandsworth Council and Safe Network are offering the voluntary and community sector free workshops on keeping children safe.

Safe Network is a joint development between NSPCC and Children England and is funded by the Department for Education to provide advice and guidance on keeping children safe, to organisations in the voluntary  and community services sector.

Working in partnership with Children England it has a remit to take a much  broader perspective on keeping children and young people safe, and focuses on four key areas that impact on  children's safety

These are:
  • Safer recruitment
  • Child protection
  • Anti-bullying
  • Reducing avoidable accidents in the workplace.

This session will support organisations to:

  • Become familiar with the 'Are they Safe' Toolkit
  • Explore the Safe Network Standards
  • Review their own organisation practice and needs around safeguarding
  • Discover what support is available locally and nationally to support their safeguarding practices

All organisations attending the session will get the 'Are they Safe' toolkit.
