Foreshore Festival Putney
All-day festival celebrating the Thames.
Try out water sports including rowing, paddle boarding and kayaking, plus food drink, music, fun and games and a chance to see the Queen's row barge Gloriana.
You can also find out more about the ecology of the river. Hubbub will be encouraging people to think again about littering near the river with its For Fishes Sake campaign, run in conjunction with Wandsworth Council, the Positively Putney BID and The Port of London Authority. The Environment Agency will talk about the future of London's Flood Defences, and Thames21 will be telling you how you can help clean up the river from plastic waste.
There will also be demonstrations from the RNLI, PLA and the fire service, Tideway is offering spaces on a free Tideway boat tour, you can find out about fascinating artefacts found on the Thames foreshore, and Tideway hoarding artist Amy Pennington will be running a walk and talk and experimental drawing session.
