Pop-up bike market

Pop-up bike market

If you’re a keen cyclist or just looking to get started, come and sell or upgrade your bike at a pop-up bike market.

The council is holding an event at Penwortham Primary School to support School’s Travel Plans, which aim to reduce car use, increase walking and cycling and encourage the responsible use of public transport.

The market aims to ensure that as many pupils as possible have a roadworthy bike for a reasonable price. It is open to the general public, as well as parents and children who attend the school.

If you wish to sell a bike, simply bring it with you to the school between 8am and 10:30am on the day of the market. All bikes are checked by mechanics prior to sale, and you will receive a call with a suggested selling price. If your bike sells, you will be notified and paid.

Bike sales will be managed by Peddle My Wheels, an organisation which creates affordable, theft-free, reliable bicycle stock for London's children and adults.
