This workshop is aimed at helping schools complete the annual review of their school travel plan and helping schools work towards Accreditation
Wandsworth Council's School Travel Planning team are holding a School Travel Plan annual review workshop on Wednesday 26 May 2010.
The workshop is aimed at:
- helping schools complete the annual review of their school travel plan (morning session), and
- helping schools work towards Accreditation (afternoon session). Complete applications for accreditation are due in June.
A general programme for the day is:
- 09:00-12:00 School Travel Plan review workshop
- 12:00-12:45 Lunch
- 12:45-15:45 Accreditation workshop
The Council can reimburse you for staff supply cover for the whole day.

Review Workshop (09:00-12:00)
Workshops are a great opportunity to meet other school travel co-ordinators, discuss ideas, and make real progress on your annual reviews. Keeping your travel plan up to date means we can approve small grants applications, fund engineering works, include you in theatre in education tours and invite you to take part in the free projects we run throughout the year.
At the review workshop you will receive:
- an annual review template
- census travel to school results
- great ideas for your new action plan
- information about what resources the Council offers to help you to encourage healthy and sustainable travel to school
- upcoming projects and promotions
- on-hand help from your School Travel Advisors
Accreditation Workshop (12:45 - 15:45)
If your school is not already accredited, this is a great opportunity to further your sustainable travel work and receive recognition for the standard achieved. Schools who are accredited often get priority on Theatre Tours and promotions. The deadline for accreditation applications is 18th June 2010.
