DescriptionThe Adult Social Services Department cares for and provides support for adults who are unable to care for themselves because they are frail, disabled or have a long-term illness. It aims to support people to live as securely and independently as possible and to contribute as full citizens to life in the community. The department also supports friends and relatives who are caring for people who cannot look after themselves.

The main offices are located at 90 Putney Bridge Road. Contact can be made by telephone, Minicom, email or in person if required. Most people will contact the Access Team initially, but see below for further details on which team to contact:

• Older people, younger people with physical disabilities and people with sensory disabilities: contact the Access Team on 020 8871 7707.

• People with learning disabilities: contact the Access and Referral Management Service (ARMS) on 020 8812 5270.

• For people with mental health issues: contact your Community Mental Health Team (via your GP).

• For people with substance misuse issues: contact your Specialist Mental Health Team (via your GP).
