DescriptionAction for Blind People offers free, impartial information, advice and support to blind and partially sighted people, their families, friends and carers. It is a national charity which is now part of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Group.

They provide a range of support, which covers the following areas and more:

• Welfare rights advice services
• Independent living services, including housing services
• Technology
• Counselling and emotional support
• Employment services
• A Low Vision Centre in central London
• A range of other projects

They can provide grants for blind and partially sighted people on low incomes. You can contact their helpline or the local 'action team' for further information on their services and support.
