DIY waste collection
If the items include waste produced during the course of home improvements and building work (e.g. fitted bath tubs, carpets and wardrobes), you will need to book a DIY waste collection, for which higher charges apply.
DIY waste example
A resident wants six bulky items plus three sacks of DIY waste collected:
- The first four bulky DIY items are covered by the minimum charge: £78
- Two further bulky DIY items: 2 x £16.50 = £33
- Three sacks of DIY waste: 3 x £6.50 = £19.50
Total charge = £130.50
