Building Schools for the Future (BSF)

What is Building Schools for the Future?

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the biggest single government investment in improving school buildings for over 50 years. The aim is to rebuild or renew every secondary school in England over a 10 to 15 year period and create environments which will inspire learning for decades to come.

On 5 July 2010 the Secretary of State for Education announced a comprehensive review of all capital investment in schools, early years, colleges and sixth forms. The review is due to publish its findings later in the year. Details of the review are available on the Department for Education website.
