Next Week is Recycle Week

Recycle Week kicks off on Monday 20th June. Check back here or follow us on Twitter or Facebook for updates.

Every year Recycle Week provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses, schools and local authorities throughout the country to get involved in events and spread the word about recycling.

This year Recycle Week falls on 20 - 26th June, and has a "Home and Away" theme. We want to explore this theme by showing people not only what can be recycled in orange recycling sacks and banks at home, but what other green initiatives there are to get involved in right on your doorstep.

To give just an idea of what there is to do, over Recycle Week one of our recycling officers will visit local projects, schools and groups in the borough and share their experiences by blogging here!

If you would like to show the rest of the borough what you have to offer, or know a class, household or even a business who is keen to show off what they're doing, get in touch with greenpledge@wandsworth.gov.uk.

Next week's plans include visiting the Wandsworth Work & Play Scrap Store, going to see the new recycling facility with some Wandsworth residents, and spending the evening with Transition Town Tooting.
