More free events from Transition Town Tooting...

Local Stories of Sustainability Success, 20th Oct 2-4 pm at Mushkil Aasaan, 220 Upper Tooting Road SW17 7EN

This free  event will illustrate vivid can-do stories by local people who have reduced their carbon footprints and increased their wellbeing.

Various myths and practicalities will be explored: Driving an electric vehicle; how to make your home cosy, warm and energy-efficient; how to reduce kitchen waste with home worm composting; and how to deal with the excess of plastic packaging we may get in our weekly high street shopping.

Come along to hear about inspiring examples of what can be done, share ideas, be energised, make some new resolutions & links and enjoy learning from others' local experience!

Tooting Carbon Conversations starting on Thursday November 1st.

The six free facilitated workshops enable individuals to explore areas of their lives where they can reduce their carbon emissions in relation to travel, food, domestic energy, consumption and waste.  During the sessions participants will discuss in a supportive atmosphere all the practicalities of making their own 'low-carbon lifestyle' changes.

Making these changes is never 'one size fits all' and their is no need to be an expert! The meetings will involve a mix of games, conversation, debate, activities and exercises.

Meetings will run weekly, every Thursday until December 6th and the sessions will be held informally at the facilitator's home.
