BAAF is the umbrella organisation for adoption and fostering agencies. It produces a wide range of leaflets and books. Adopting a Child is a comprehensive guide to every stage of the adoption process, includes details of all the adoption agencies in England, Wales and Scotland.
BAAF also produces the Be My Parent newspaper and website which contains photographs and details of children awaiting families. The newspaper can be sent to your home address and of course you can access the website online at any time where you can also view videos about some of the children. Fostering Network is the association for everyone involved in fostering. It produces books and leaflets about fostering. It has details of foster carer groups throughout the UK and will try to put carers in touch with other carers in their area.

Adoption UK is a national self-help support and information service for prospective and existing adoptive families. It is particularly able to help people from ethnic minorities. It has a very wide network of adoptive parent contacts all over the country, able to provide advice and encouragement at all stages of adoption. It publishes a newsletter called Children Who Wait which features news and stories of interest to all adopters, and profiles of children currently needing families.
