Social services - residential care - adult

Residential care is when the person lives where the care is provided. For older people this may be a nursing home.

For those with learning disabilities or mental health problems, we aim to provide network housing, where people can live their lives independently.

Care and Nursing homes are run independently from the council and you can find a place in one of those at any time provided you meet their criteria. If it's not the result of a community care assessment, you would pay for the care you receive yourself as a Self-Funder.
