Housing - Repairs - Emergency out of hours repairs

Housing emergency repairs are dealt with through the Wandsworth Emergency Control, which provides a 24-hour service. Wandsworth Emergency Control is linked to the team of uniformed estate services officers who can respond to emergencies within a matter of minutes.

We aim to answer 100 per cent of calls within two minutes and to respond to any housing emergency within 30 minutes of receiving the call.

Most council homes are covered by the service. If however your home is managed by a resident management organisation you should check arrangements for emergency repair cover with your housing manager.

Leaseholders calling the emergency repair service should remember that we are not responsible for repairs inside their homes. The service will, however, carry out emergency work to prevent a problem causing a nuisance to neighbours.
